The VJMedia Women of Impact Dinner here in Miami was created five years ago with the sole intention of bringing together women across the media spectrum who seldom meet and connect. I wanted the event to serve as the collision point for women here in South Florida making noise in the social space, in philanthropy and community who are truly impacting the change they want to see in the world.
This event has far surpassed that. As each year has gone by, I’ve come to understand that the highlight and celebration of women has become my passion and my mission.
I’m busy putting the final touches on 2018’s intimate affair. If you would like to nominate a Woman of Impact, please email: vanessajamesmedia@gmail.com. Nominations should be submitted by March 30th, 2018 for New York and July 1st, 2018 for Miami.

2016’s experience without the support of The Lincoln Motor Company, who served as this years official partner. Together we celebrated twenty female trailblazers and kicked off the holiday season in fabulous style. Sunday, December 18th at the Lure Fishbar at the Loews Hotel Miami Beach, we honored social media superstars, new business owners, culturists, community leaders and more. Once again, luxury jewelry company MantraBand was also on board to gift the women with their signature mantra bands (a perfect feel good gift that lasts all year). A few pics more from the experience.
It’s been an exciting year for VJMedia and I’m so grateful for the incredible experiences that I’ve been apart of. Curating experiences has become synonymous with the VJMedia brand and in 2017, we’ll take this movement to even bigger heights. Get ready as we extend the Women of Impact to four cities across the country to highlight women nationally.

In 2015, we saluted the Damas de Lincoln (Ladies of Lincoln) who were awarded during the event for their outstanding commitment to community, philanthropy and work ethic. Entrepreneurship can be a scary thing, but knowing that you have a force of cheerleaders behind you can make the journey more fruitful. I’m incredibly proud of this movement, how far it has come and where it is going.
